CSUF Community
Students, faculty and staff are welcome to request books be paged from the library stacks by submitting a request in the catalog. When doing a search in OneSearch, be sure to select Books & Media at CSUF so that all results are for material located at the Pollak Library. After finding the result you would like to request, sign in to get complete results and the ability to request it. Once the request has been made, expect a turnaround time of 24 hours, though it may arrive sooner.
Paged books are available for pickup at the Circulation Desk located on the first floor of Pollak Library South. Paged books will stay on the holdshelf for 10 days before being reshelved.
If paged material is not found in our stacks, an email will be sent indicating that the request has been cancelled and converted into a Resource Sharing Request. The request will then be sent to a CSU library to fill.
Borrowing From Other Libraries
All students, faculty and staff are welcome to travel to and check out material from any CSU library. We also have reciprocal borrowing agreements with local colleges. Pollak Library borrowing policy contains a list of reciprocal borrowing institutions which have agreements with CSUF. To obtain an authorization letter to borrow from these reciprocal institutions, please visit the Circulation Desk located on the North 1st floor of the library.
General Community
General community users may also page books. To request a book as a community user, please fill out the Item Search Request Form.
