How do I document sources correctly?
This page suggests ways to to get help paraphasing correctly or otherwise using the information taken from sources in your writing in a way that avoids plagiarism.
 
1.
Check the style manuals themselves (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
  They include some information on properly paraphrasing and documenting sources correctly.
   
2.
Search the Library Catalog for books on report writing.
  Examples:
Subject search: report writing
Keyword search: music report writing (substitute any discipline for music)
   
3.
Consult The Student Guide to Avoiding Plagiarism: How to Write an Effective Research Paper.
  This useful introduction has some great examples of how to incorporate information drawn from sources into your writing correctly.
   
4.
Visit the CSUF Writing Center (McCarthy Hall, room 45).
  The Writing Center provides writing assistance, but no editing or proofreading.
