Group Study Room Policies

Group Study Rooms are unlocked and available on a first come, first served basis for group study. Rooms may only be used by CSUF students, faculty and staff. A group is a minimum of two people. Individuals may be asked to leave.

Group study rooms are reserved daily for cleaning from 5am-6am. Occupants will be asked to leave the room during this time.

Blocking of doors and covering of windows is unsafe and not allowed.

Group Study Rooms are intended for academic and study-related purposes only.

Due to safety concerns, large personal items, including appliances and bedding, are not allowed. The Library reserves the right to determine what is acceptable.

Group Study Rooms are not sound proofed. Groups should exercise consideration for other library users and avoid excessive noise.

Any groups observed in violation of the above described rules and/or the Pollak Library Code of Conduct may be asked to leave.

The Student Genius Corner reserves all technology-equipped rooms (or smart classrooms) on the first floor of the north library building. For more information on reserving these rooms, please visit the Student Genius Corner or their website.
